Decabeza is a blend of Tempranillo, Garnacha, Mourvedre, and Carignan harvested from head-trained vines in the Ojos Verdes sector of the Batuco vineyard.

These varieties, traditionally from Spain or southern France, were chosen for their robustness and resistance to water scarcity, and are usually trained as bush vines without trellises or wires, forming what resembles a bush at the end of the season.
